    Start your CAA approved drone training online today! Gain the skills and knowledge needed to operate a drone commercially and apply for your Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO). Taken completely online, this online PfCO self-study course is delivered with e-learning modules, meaning students can learn at their own pace and get qualified from home. Please Note: After attending the course, students will need to complete an in-person flight-assessment (included). Due to CAA regulations changing, delegates will need to have completed all elements of the course (Ground school, Operations Manual + Flight test) and submitted their application to the CAA before 1st December 2020.     This course is delivered online via a virtual classroom (9am to 5pm). Physical classroom courses available here: CAA Approved PfCO Course Commercial drone training course for pilots looking to gain their PfCO from the CAA. Gain the skills and knowledge needed to operate a drone commercially and apply for your Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO).   • This course is delivered online via a virtual classroom (9am to 5pm). Physical classroom courses available here: Drone Thermal Imaging Category 1 iRed® are proud to have the only accredited drone thermal imaging course in the UK. Learn how to capture, process and analysis thermal images captured using a drone. This course is designed for commercial drone pilots looking to inspect buildings, solar panels and power-lines using thermal imaging cameras. After attending the course, students choosing PCN ISO 18436 accreditation will need to complete an in-person examination (included) up to a year after course completion. Please note this is a 5-day course with 4 days online & 1 day practical based. Once delegates have completed the 4-day online element they will need to book a date to attend their final day of practical based training with one of our Instructors.

  • Specialist thermal imaging course for new and existing drone operators. Designed for drone pilots, this comprehensive 1-day course teaches operators how to conduct aerial thermal imaging surveys using a drone.
  • The General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) is a new drone qualification that will be introduced from 31 December 2020. The GVC allows pilots to conduct VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) operations within the Specific Category.
  • The A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) is a new CAA drone qualification which will be introduced no earlier than 31 December 2020. This qualification enables pilots who operate a C2 Class aircraft to fly within subcategory A2 of the Open Category, at a reduced distance to people, buildings and structures.
