Designed for those new to industry, this course provides students with the skills and knowledge to start using thermal imaging for commercial drone inspections. Ideal for those looking to expand their drone business, the iRed® Drone Thermal Imaging Category 1 course introduces the fundamentals of thermal imaging, along with industry insight into the multitude of commercial applications for thermal drone technology.

Frequently Asked Questions

Having your own drone is not essential for those attending the course. However, to get the most from the course, it’s recommended that delegates have – or are working towards – achieving their Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO).

Don’t worry – it happens! Our courses are packed full with lots of useful knowledge, and sometimes it can be hard to remember everything when it comes to your test or assessment. This is why our e-learning courses give you 3 attempts for your final examination. This also gives you a chance to go through your course materials again before re-taking the test at a later date.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a CPD Certified Certificate (28hrs) from iRed®, the UK’s leading experts in thermal imaging. This certificate also enables students to upgrade their qualification to an accreditation at a later date.

The time it takes to complete this course varies from person to person. However, as a guideline most students complete this course this course over 4 days (28 hours).

This is the only drone-focused thermal imaging course that conforms to the ISO 18436 standard for infrared thermography. As such, students attending this course can opt-in for additional training to become eligible for full accreditation.
