“The A2 CofC course provided by iRed is the perfect step to take on the path to becoming a certified drone operator in the UK. Whilst thorough, the course is easy to pick up due to its manageable modules and well-structured sections.”
Bertie Eldridge, A2 CofC
“I love photography and flying drones, so taking the A2 CofC was a course I wanted to invest in. Not only could I grow, but it also gave me more freedom and confidence when flying my drone.”
Paul Watson, A2 CofC
“Recently took my A2 CofC drone pilot licence with iRed. I thought the quality of the training course material was very good and could not fault it at all – highly recommended.”
Gordon Mackenzie, A2 CofC
“Having the ability to complete this comprehensive course online during the pandemic has been brilliant. I have gained so much more knowledge from the various modules and it serves as a timely reminder to what I already knew.”
Michael Pitts, A2 CofC
“Great course, very informative and easy to navigate. Staff are very professional, polite, friendly and helpful at all times. Highly recommended! I will definitely be returning for future training and updates.”
Martin Page, A2 CofC
“Seemed very professional and quick to respond to any questions. I liked it that you could take the test papers as many times as you liked before the exam. Pleased that I passed with a 97%!”

WORKING ALONGSIDE INDUSTRY
We’re proud to be partnered with some of the biggest names in the drone world
If you want to operate a drone commercially in the UK, you will need to gain your Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO) from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). This requires pilots to attend a training course and practical flight assessment at a CAA approved training centre known as a National Qualified Entity (NQE).
Training ensures you are both confident and competent in operating a drone. Not only does training ensure you are less likely to have an accident when flying, but also assures clients that you are capable of carrying out a service.
Having your own drone is not essential for those attending a drone training course. However, it is recommended that delegates are in possession of, or are working towards, their Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO).
Don’t worry – it happens! Our courses are packed full with lots of useful knowledge, and sometimes it can be hard to remember everything when it comes to your test or assessment – this is why we offer one free re-sit on all of drone training courses. This also gives you a chance to go through your course materials again before re-taking the test at a later date.
