PRACTICAL DRONE FLIGHT TRAINING
Practical Drone Flight Training allows both new and existing drone operators to develop their flying skills. This course ensures pilots are able to fly safely and competently. As a consequence, the course provides a boost in confidence for pilots looking to pass their Practical Flight Assessment.
These assessments are an essential part of the process for becoming a qualified drone operator. For example, a flight test is a requirement for those who want to gain their Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO) or General VLOS Certificate (GVC). As a result, it is important that pilots have the knowledge and skills needed to pass their practical test.
Course Content
Pilots undertaking this training will first cover the basics of planning and preparing for a drone flight. Additionally, the course will include in-flight procedures, as well as post-flight debriefing.
The course provides an opportunity for pilots to practise flying in a secure environment. As well as this, students will enhance their skills and knowledge through flying with a highly qualified instructor. Each of these training courses will have a limited number of students, which ensures that those in attendance will also have the chance to ask any questions or queries they may have.
This training course will be entirely hands-on and will take place at iRed’s specialist flying centre in West Sussex. As such, those attending will require appropriate clothing and equipment to complete a day of training outside. To ensure safety and ability to fly, this course will also be weather-dependent, and therefore dates may be subject to change.
