iRed are excited to announce our new training location at the Building Performance Hub in High Wycombe, UK. The Building Performance Hub, created by the BCTA, is a dedicated training facility for the UK construction industry, focusing on building performance and bridging the gap between design and construction.
Based within a 9,000ft² warehouse, the Building Performance Hub features a fully constructed purpose-built house, providing a temperature-controlled environment for thermal imaging training and testing. The house itself has been designed to be fully-interactive, enabling our instructors to purposefully remove building elements to provide real-world examples during our courses.
Speaking on the new partnership with BCTA, Caitlin Bowen, iRed’s Student Development Manager, said: “The Building Performance Hub is a one-of-a-kind facility that enables our students to practice what they learn using real, life-sized structures. By partnering with BCTA, we’re looking forward to adding an unparalleled practical experience to our thermal courses, helping to better prepare our students for industry”.
Steve Welland, iRed’s Training Manager, adds: “As well as providing a fantastic training facility for our thermal courses, the space provides an ideal opportunity for drone training, enabling our students to practice aerial surveys and congested-area flights in a safe and controlled environment”.

The Building Performance Hub is the only dedicated UK facility for the education and physical hands-on training for building performance products and applications.
Financed by the BCTA Group, which incorporates ATTMA & SITMA, the Building Performance Hub is a non-profit organisation that provides training around air tightness and sound insulation testing, bringing in industry experts to deliver practical courses within specialised environments.
