The iRed headquarters in Emsworth

With the festive period fast approaching, iRed are reflecting on an exciting year.

Some of the highlights include being able to extend our training courses across the UK due to our new training facility in Lancaster – as well as two free drone training taster sessions held at our headquarters,  encouraging both new and experienced pilots to broaden their drone skills.

2019 has also seen iRed collaborate with the University of Portsmouth, in partnership with Greentech South, to utilise thermal imaging technologies – aiming to improve energy efficiency within the built environment. iRed is also proud to have joined the COMIT2Drones community, a specialist group focusing on the use of drones within the construction industry.

A further highlight this year has been the Commercial UAV Show – iRed had a great time exhibiting alongside DJI across both days of the show, which took place in November at ExCel London. The team were also awarded multiple speaking slots throughout the event; these were well-attended and included a keynote presentation in partnership with the Anglian Water @One Alliance. iRed looks forward to attending further industry shows and events across the next year.

There are many opportunities ahead within the next year. This includes the launch of innovative E-Learning options to be incorporated within the iRed Academy’s range of specialist training courses. Ideal for both new and existing pilots, these courses teach delegates how to use remote sensors such as thermal imaging, visual, and multispectral cameras on drones, and have dates scheduled regularly throughout 2020. The iRed Academy is proud that during 2019 a number of our courses have been approved by industry-leading awarding bodies and training boards such as Lantra and CITB.

As well as this, the launch of the iRed Store also includes a variety of new products, including drones and other aerial equipment, which are available to buy or hire.

Festive Opening Hours

The iRed opening hours over the Christmas period are as follows:

The office will be closed from Wednesday 25th December 2019 and will reopen at 9am on Thursday 2nd January 2020.

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
