For the past 4 years we have been supporting the University of Portsmouth‘s second year applied physics students by providing lectures on thermography – discussing its benefits and applications – along with training and work experience opportunities. Dr Hooshyar Assadullahi – Senior Lecturer, Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, University of Portsmouth said:
“We really value the support from iRed on our applied physics course, it shows our students the different applications of physics and improves their employability skills. Some students have enjoyed their projects so much that they are considering thermography as a future career choice. It is incredibly important for us to work with industry leaders who encourage active learning and provide a platform for employability across the new Applied Physics curriculum.”
We give an annual talk to first and second year students at the University of Portsmouth, who have the opportunity to utilise thermography within their final year project. We provide free-of-charge certified thermography training and support, helping students to understand the fundamental theories behind thermal imaging and how to use the technology to accurately record temperature data for their project.
