iRed Thermal Imaging Training Session

Attendees learning about the applications of aerial thermal imaging.

Leading thermal imaging training providers iRed held a free taster session for drone pilots on Saturday 9th March 2019. The session, aimed at those new to industry, provided attendees with an introduction to thermal imaging technologies for aerial applications.

Delivered by iRed’s training manager Steve Welland, the taster session taught attendees the basic principles of infrared thermography, and provided an opportunity to demo the latest commercial equipment.

The latest in aerial and thermal technologies were available to try out.

Speaking about the session, Steve said: “This was our first free taster session, and due to the overwhelmingly positive response we’re already scheduling more dates for later in the year.”

“It was a great to provide new and existing drone pilots with some industry insight, along with advice and recommendations on equipment and further training.”

Taster sessions were run in both the morning and afternoon.

The session had a wide range of attendees, from local drone operators and industry professionals, to members of the emergency services and global brands.
