iRed Wins Global Green Business Awards
iRed® Wins at the 2021 Global Green Business Awards
iRed® have been awarded Most Pioneering Sustainability Consultancy at the 2021 Global Green Business Awards.
Founded in 2002, iRed’s multidisciplinary team of industry experts use innovative technologies to identify faults, improve efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions for a broad range of industries.
The award, announced this month, is in recognition of iRed’s achievements in advancing the benefits of thermal imaging and drone technology across several sectors – notably, their work at the Anglian Water @One Alliance Marston Recycling Centre.
Marston Water Recycling Centre, located near Grantham, serves a population of approximately 63,500. Following a growth review and due to new housing developments, additional capacity within the water recycling centre was required. Using a range of different sensors and drone-enabled technologies, iRed were able to identify areas that could be reprofiled instead of rebuilt – all whilst eliminating thousands of hours of surveying time. The result was a 90% reduction in proposed capital carbon, along with a projected saving of over £2.2 million. This project was also awarded with the Construction News Award for Sustainable Project of the Year, along with the Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice.
Ray Faulkner, Managing Director of iRed, commented: “We’re extremely thrilled to be awarded Most Pioneering Sustainability Consultancy of 2021, especially as 2021 was a hard year for many businesses worldwide. It also goes to show the hard work and dedication of our team in difficult circumstances.”
Jack Bloomfield, Marketing Manager at iRed, added: “As a team, we pride ourselves on using the latest techniques and practices known to industry – so being nominated Most Pioneering Sustainability Consultancy of the year is an amazing achievement for us. We’re extremely grateful to all of our customers and partners for making this happen, and we’re looking forward to taking innovation to a whole new sustainable level.”
