iRed uses drone technology to help Anglian Water maintain a good carbon footprint.

iRed is presenting in partnership with Anglian Water @One Alliance at the 2019 Commercial UAV Show, scheduled to take place on 12-13 November at ExCel London.

As part of this year’s Commercial UAV Show, iRed has been invited to present alongside the Anglian Water @One Alliance within their keynote conference session. The presentation, delivered on the main stage of the event, demonstrates how Anglian Water have used drone technology to aid in creating carbon neutral sites.

This year’s conference is built around four individual streams, each focusing on different key topics within industry. The joint presentation with the Anglian Water @One Alliance is featured within the Urban Innovation stream, which focuses on the impact of UAVs within the urban environment.

Alongside iRed will be a host of industry experts, each of whom will be discussing the latest issues and developments surrounding UAV technologies.

Anglian Water @One Alliance

Anglian Water is a Water company that provides water and water recycling services to more than six million customers in the East of England. They operate over 1,257 water and water recycling centres covering a significant area between the Humber Estuary to Thames Estuary, Buckinghamshire to Lowestoft. The @One Alliance is a collaborative organisation of consultants and contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

The @One Alliance will have designed and built around 800 schemes worth approximately £1.2billion between April 2015 and March 2020, known as AMP6 – the current five year investment period, working closely with Anglian Water operations teams and other key stakeholders. They design and construct water and water recycling (waste water) treatment centres that serves their customers in the East of England (and Hartlepool Water) and maintain and improve the water mains and the sewerage network in the region. The project featured in this presentation represents one of many projects being delivered to achieve their Carbon Neutral goal.

How Anglian Water Have Used Drone Technology to Deliver a Bio-diverse/Carbon Neutral Project

Focusing on the collaboration between iRed and the Anglian Water @One Alliance, the keynote presentation has an emphasis on the application of modern technologies to complete a carbon neutral site – in this case using drones. As drones are electric and use less energy than other equipment, they are an effective method of maintaining a good carbon footprint.

iRed’s industry-leading knowledge and experience in drone technology, including thermal and multispectral imaging and analysis, has meant they have been able to work closely with Anglian Water to achieve a bio-diverse and carbon neutral project.

For those interested in attending, the presentation will take place at 11.50 am on Tuesday 12th November. iRed will also be exhibiting alongside DJI for both days of the Commercial UAV Show, so make sure to visit the team at Stand 25.
