The iRed stand at the Commercial UAV Show
On 12-13 November, iRed attended the 2019 Commercial UAV Show, which took place at ExCel London.
Representing different sectors within the UAV industry, the UAV Show presented products and services from over 120 exhibitors – with a specialised ‘demo zone’ used to display the latest technologies. At this year’s show, iRed exhibited at Stand 25 alongside DJI; this stand collaboration saw iRed’s remote sensing expertise combined with DJI’s renowned aerial systems. The stand gained a wide variety of visitors from across the industry, and the team answered a range of enquiries regarding iRed’s training, products, and inspections.
As well as exhibiting, iRed also took part in the Expo Talks feature of the show, which saw several experts discussing specific issues and developments within the UAV industry. iRed were awarded two well-attended speaking slots at this year’s show, where Ray Faulkner, Managing Director, and Steve Welland, Training Manager, presented on drone education and training to highly engaged audiences.

Discussing Competency throughout drone education, one presentation highlighted the benefits of training that allows drone pilots to prove their ability to fly both safely and capably before they are able to operate commercially. The second iRed Expo Talk focused on upgrading your drone skills – including the use of further education allowing drone operators to advance their abilities and experience.
In addition, iRed were invited to present in partnership with the Anglian Water @One Alliance as part of the show’s keynote conference session. This presentation was delivered on the main stage of the event and demonstrated how Anglian Water have used drone technology to aid in creating carbon neutral sites. This keynote talk focused on the collaboration between iRed and the Anglian Water @One Alliance, where they have worked closely to achieve a bio-diverse and carbon neutral project using modern technologies.
